6 Squadron

Book Publication

Documenting the known aircraft numbers and types that were flown by the Royal Air Force's 6 Squadron along with its battle honours and air stations at which it was based.
The book is presented in chronological order with the design influenced by playing cards from the Second World War, used by pilots, which featured silhouettes of enemy aircraft as a use of identification. The typeface used throughout the publication is inspired by one used by the RAF for displaying identification numbers on the sides of aircraft. The blue colour used throughout is the same tone as the one that features on the squadron's badge.
This design can also be applied to other squadrons, each with their own unique colour and in turn creating a book series.
